Dear Coach,
Baseball can be a difficult sport to coach, especially if you are new to the game. With so many different theories and drills, it can be difficult to figure out what training will swerve your player best. When I was young, my father put me through countless camps with all the “top industry pros” and read countless books in order to help me achieve my goals. I imagine that you are in that same exact position now. You players probably love playing the game and you want to make sure you invest you time and money, in training that is going to help your player reach his baseball batting goals.
Becoming a dominating force at the plate takes much more than just talent and power! It takes dedication, an education, and a strong foundation in all three major aspects of hitting. A complete hitter does more than just hit the ball well to all fields, he has the mental strength to remain confident, the proper mechanics to maximize his power, and the visual recognition skills to extend his at bats and only swing at pitches that will give him the best opportunity to get a hit!
The underlying issues of constant failure isn't the player's talent, or the work ethic, it's the information and education. Don't get me wrong, I was no saint as a player. I had just as many ups and downs at the next guy. In fact for my first two years at the Division 1 Level I hit about .240 before I figured most of this out. However, I was selected as a Captain for my final two years, hit over .300, and was one of the leading hitters on the team. Not bad for a 5' 6" 160 pound athlete!
I'll be the first to admit, all players are not created equal! However, most players innately struggle with the same issues at the plate. No matter what level your player is at, I guarantee he will always struggle with three things: his confidence, the search for more power, and a consistent repeatable approach at the plate.
For instance, my old teammate and good friend to this day, who was a Division 1 Freshman All-American changed his swing roughly 40 times in college. As the years went on, his numbers progressively got worse. Don't get me wrong, he was still a great player and went on to play professional baseball, but he never put his entire game together.
Guess who has the same problem!?
My little league kids that I teach now! Players are innately the same regardless of how old, or level of play!
At this point you probably think I have some special gadget or magic formula that “creates the perfect swing” or helps your player magically increase his power, but I don’t! In fact, I think 95% of all the items and gadgets out there are useless and carry more false hope than actual results. And yes, I have used a good portion of them through my playing days and they lasted about a week before I realized it was all a hoax. To me, they are like fad diets! Good in theory, but no real substance behind them.
What I do have, is a lifetime of experience and an education to help your player get his mind right, and fix mechanical mistakes when hitting a baseball. I have combined all that I have learned during my playing days, and combined it with psychological programs that cost thousands of dollars to give you the best information to help your player become a dominating force at the plate.
The #1 hurdle that holds most players back is there inability to generate confidence and envision their success as a player. Contradictory to most information out there, you can help your player raise his confidence level. It starts with a series of self-permissions and that ability of you the coach to use positive action phrasing. It’s not overly difficult to accomplish self-confidence; you player just needs to take the right series of steps to build a strong mental foundation.
The #2 hurdle to reaching high-level success is the inability to make adjustments in a short period of time. Unless you are a professional baseball player, the season is relatively short. Unfortunately, that means players must make adjustments to correct there mistakes not the next day, but the very next swing. Without the proper batting education, players will constantly be searching for answers to their hitting woes. Only through a complete education on how to hit a baseball will you player unlock the tools he needs to make corrections quickly, and effectively to keep his performance at a high level.
Today, you take the first step in that education when you enter you name and email address in the box provided. By doing so, you will receive two of the most powerful hitting training videos on the market for absolutely nothing.
I’ll see you inside!
